Accreditor Gives North-West College Pasadena a Glowing Review
Accreditation visit gives the campus a near perfect review exemplified by outstanding student survey ratings on the College’s academics, faculty and staff.

PASADENA, Calif.—On a very recent visit to North-West College’s Pasadena campus, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), gave the campus a nearly perfect review. Marsha Fuerst opened the doors of North-West College to her first class of 43 students in 1966. Since that time, ACCSC has set the standard for assessing the educational quality of career colleges nationwide, and its recent visit to North-West College in Pasadena proved that Marsha Fuerst’s vision of creating quality education for students in the health care industry is continuing to be realized on a grand scale.

According to Mitchell Fuerst, President of North-West College, “When our national accreditors visit any of our campuses, they bring a relatively large team to look at every aspect of the College. The team consists of a team leader, an ACCSC Commission representative, an education specialist and numerous occupation specialists. They spent two days examining everything from our curricula, to our student survey results and everything in-between.” What they found was inspiring. For example, 92% of the students surveyed said that they felt good about their choice to attend North-West College in Pasadena. Another 94% agreed that the Academic Dept. delivers appropriate academic rigor, whereas 97% were satisfied with the faculty. These impressive numbers represent a student body that feels inspired by the level of education and care that they are receiving from North-West College.

According to Beylor Meza, North-West College’s Chief Operating Officer, ACCSC’s visit simply reinforced the College’s commitment to teamwork: “It is invigorating to work with a team that strives for excellence to achieve such outstanding outcomes.”

North-West College’s Corporate Director of Compliance, Ann Marie McGuiness, echoed Meza’s exuberance. “The ACCSC site visit confirmed North-West College’s commitment to educating students for success and remaining totally compliant with our accreditors!”

Indeed, it appears that North-West College is fulfilling its promise to provide the quality of education and student care that compelled Marsha Fuerst to establish the College in the first place, so that students of varying financial, ethnic, and educational backgrounds are afforded the opportunity to create successful and fulfilling lives for themselves and their families.

Alistair Curamen, the North-West College Pasadena Campus Director, put it perfectly when he said, “On behalf of Team Pasadena and myself, we are very grateful and thankful for the support that each of you have contributed toward our ACCSC re-accreditation. Our successful visit is a true testament of what Teamwork is all about! It truly feels great to be a part of a winning team and North-West College is the place to be!”
