North-West College Expands Massage Therapy Program to Meet Growing Demand in the Field
Massage Therapy Classes Now Enrolling in Orange County at North-West College’s Santa Ana Campus
WEST COVINA, Calif.—In an effort to keep pace with the growing demand for trained massage therapists, North-West College now offers its Massage Therapy Program in Orange County at the College’s Santa Ana campus. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field of massage therapy will see a 23 percent surge from 2010–2022.
“We’re excited to be able to be a part of addressing the increasing need for quality massage therapists,” Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza explained. “Massage therapy continues to be a modality of treatment for a variety of conditions, giving students a broad array of settings in which to apply their skills.”
In addition to in-depth learning in the classroom, students also benefit from hands-on training throughout their program as instructors work with them to develop specialized massage techniques.
Graduates of this program may qualify for employment opportunities in massage clinics, physicians’ offices, hospitals and medical centers, chiropractic offices, nursing facilities, health clubs and fitness centers, spas, pain management centers, sports team facilities, and others.
“Massage therapy not only allows students to explore careers through an employer, but it also enables them to pursue an entrepreneurial angle to their career as well—which makes it especially rewarding,” Meza shared.
North-West College Santa Ana Campus Director Rick Sylstra agreed, “We’re thrilled to be able to offer the Massage Therapy Program at the Orange County campus. This program expansion allows us to further our core purpose of educating students for success.”
In addition to the Santa Ana campus, the Massage Therapy Program is also offered at North-West College’s West Covina, Pomona, Pasadena, and Riverside campus locations. To learn more about the program or to enroll, please contact Michelle MacIntyre at [email protected].
